Worked with Product manager, Engineering team, Partnerships, and Product Marketing teams to design game experience in Facebook. The design works were supported by Content Strategist and UX Researcher.

Games Menu Redesign
How do we foster game snacking behavior? As we launched Gaming destination in Facebook App, there were questions on how to improve existing game consumption behavior for Instant Games. From users we hear that the end game button is often caused by accidental taps during game activity.
I lead the project of redesigning game navigation and platform UI. By building an intermediary surface, we aimed to prevent accidental game exit and establish consolidated platform menu. The menu is intended to serve both game-specific features such as share, favorite, shortcuts, and report flow, and also platform-wide discovery of other games.




Outcome
The redesign came with some risks but significantly contributed to overall health of Instant Games ecosystem. This helped migration of users from Messenger to Facebook (strategic move). Featured at GDC 2019 and F8 2019.
